A flat price per amp
DatacenterThailand.net lists 1U with 0.5 A at THB 2,000 a month (the average on first-year annual billing) and a 42U full rack with 12 A, 20 outlets and 16 IPv4 addresses at THB 38,000. Its notes fill in the middle: 2U with 1 A at THB 4,500, a 9U quarter rack with 3 A at THB 9,500 and a 20U half rack with 6 A at THB 19,000. Nine Web charges THB 3,000 for 1U with unlimited transfer, then THB 5,000 for 2U, THB 11,000 for 5U and THB 20,000 for 11U.
Divide the DatacenterThailand.net prices by their amps and the quarter, half and full racks all come to THB 3,167 per amp. The 1U slot works out at THB 4,000 per amp and 2U at THB 4,500. From a quarter rack upwards, the card is a price for power, and space is included, the same pattern the Ashburn data shows on the other side of the world.

Buying in Bangkok
- From a quarter rack up, negotiate on amps: the published card charges the same per amp at every size.
- Ask for the voltage so the amp figures can be converted to kW and compared with other cities.
- Check the billing basis; the cheapest published 1U price is an average that assumes annual billing.
- Ask about new capacity coming online, given how much of the published pipeline is not yet operating.
