Amsterdam colocation pricing
Amsterdam's published prices show both ways European providers bill power: a rack fee plus metered electricity, or one all-in price per kilowatt. Which is cheaper depends on how hard you run the rack.

Wholesale benchmark · Amsterdam
165–195USD/kW/mo · midpoint 180. 250–500 kW requirement, N+1/Tier III; midpoint of the published asking-rate range; CBRE: rents in Europe’s four major markets rose year-over-year in Q1 2026.
Metered or all-in: where the lines cross
HOSTKEY, at the euNetworks facility, lists a 23U half rack with 3 kW of capacity for EUR 500 and a 48U full rack with 6 kW for EUR 800, both with no setup fee and electricity metered at EUR 0.50 per kWh. On the check date the full rack was listed as temporarily unavailable to new customers. MIRhosting sells by the kilowatt instead: EUR 360 per kW per month unmanaged, EUR 410 managed, power included.
The two models meet at a specific draw. A 3 kW allocation at MIRhosting's unmanaged rate costs EUR 1,080. The HOSTKEY half rack costs EUR 500 before energy, so the EUR 580 difference buys 1,160 kWh at EUR 0.50, which is 53% of what 3 kW would draw running flat out for a 730-hour month. Run the half rack below that average and metered billing wins; run it above and all-in wins. For the 6 kW full rack the crossover is 62%. At full continuous draw the half rack would cost EUR 1,595, or EUR 532 per kW.
Wholesale is quoted in dollars. CBRE's Global Data Center Trends 2026 lists Amsterdam at USD 165–195 per kW per month for 250–500 kW at N+1 / Tier III, midpoint USD 180, and notes that rents in Europe's four major markets rose year on year in Q1 2026. We leave the euro retail and dollar wholesale figures in their own currencies.

Buying in Amsterdam
- Estimate your average draw before comparing quotes. Metered offers look cheap on the rack line and expensive on the energy line.
- Ask whether the per-kWh rate is fixed for the term or passed through from the energy market.
- Check availability on the date you want to start; one published full-rack offer was closed to new customers when checked.
- Price management separately: MIRhosting's managed tier is EUR 50 per kW above unmanaged, a 14% premium.
